The multi-stage activated carbon filter in our carafe uses the highly porous surface of activated carbon to bind harmful substances by adsorption. It effectively filters out chlorine and chlorine compounds, substances affecting odour and taste (for example from old pipes), organic contaminants and some pesticides. The filter also contains a special granulate for mineralization, which adds valuable minerals such as magnesium and calcium to the water and raises the pH slightly. Heavy metals such as lead or copper are reduced as well.
