Shortly after a filter change, the filtered water may appear cloudy during the first 2-3 filtrations.

The cloudiness comes from the activated carbon in the filter, which serves to reduce odours and chemical substances in the water. As activated carbon breaks up easily during transport, we recommend discarding the first two filtered batches when using the filter for the first time. These granules have no negative health effects: if you swallow them inadvertently, they are excreted by the body and do no harm.
