Hello, I don't have a "third hole" in my sockets. How can the grounding sheet work in Germany? Thank you and best regards.
In Germany, many sockets are equipped with so-called safety sockets (Schuko). Unlike some other countries, where a third hole is provided for earthing, Schuko sockets are earthed via side contacts – so-called protective earth contacts.
This means that the earthing bed sheet can still function correctly, as it is connected to the protective conductor of the socket and the earthing is transmitted via these side contacts. Therefore, no additional "third hole" is required.
Please send us a photo of the socket so that we can better assess the situation.
The most important thing is always that this plug has been installed by a professional.
