grounding sheet
A grounding sheet is a special bed sheet made from conductive materials such as silver fibres. It connects your body to the earth via a cable, allowing excess positive electrical charges to be safely discharged into the ground. This can promote a sense of well-being, improve sleep and bring the body into a more balanced state.
Many users describe sleeping on the grounding sheet as pleasant and relaxing. There is no scientific evidence to support any health benefits, so we do not make any such claims. The grounding sheet is not a medical device.
Yes, the grounding sheet is washable. However, please follow these care instructions:
- Use a mild detergent without bleach.
- Wash the sheet at a maximum temperature of 40 °C.
- Avoid using fabric softener, as this can impair the conductivity of the silver fibres.
- Allow the sheet to air dry or tumble dry at a low temperature.
-
Visual inspection of the connection:
Check that the plug is fully inserted into the earth socket and that the connecting cable is correctly attached to the sheet. -
Measurement using an earth tester or multimeter:
A simple earth tester for earthing products can indicate whether there is a connection to earth.
Alternatively, a multimeter can be used to measure the resistance between the sheet and the earth lead. A low resistance indicates a working connection. Here is a video explaining this in more detail.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EISRiHRq8nAIf the voltage drops for you as well, everything is connected correctly. If not, check at another earthed socket; if you notice a difference there, call an electrician to have the earthing at the faulty socket checked.
It’s very easy to use:
- Lay the sheet flat on your bed.
- Connect the supplied earthing cable to the sheet.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the earth socket on a power socket.
- Sleep as usual and enjoy the benefits of earthing.
The grounding sheet measures99 cm x 190 cm and 27 x 52 inches (69 x 132 cm). It is ideal for single beds, as a partial cover for larger beds, or for specific areas such as the foot or head of the bed.
The grounding sheet needs to be connected to earth in order to work effectively. If there is no socket with an earth terminal available, you can use special earthing stakes, which are driven directly into the ground (sold separately).
Yes, the grounding sheet is completely safe to use. The sheet does not conduct electricity from the socket into your body; it simply connects you to earth to dissipate any excess electrical charges. If you have any concerns, you can have the socket checked by an electrician beforehand.
The grounding sheet is ideal for people who:
- want to try out earthing for themselves.
- are looking for a natural sleeping environment made of cotton with silver fibres.
Yes, the grounding sheet is lightweight and portable, so you can easily use it when travelling or on holiday. Make sure you have access to an earthed socket or an earthing stake.
The package contains:
- 1 x grounding sheet
- 1 x cable (15 feet / approx. 4.6 metres long)
- The plug is included
No, it isn’t necessary… However…
Direct skin contact (ideal):
If you lie on the sheet with bare skin (e.g. legs, arms, feet), the grounding effect is fully transmitted.
This is the best and safest option.
Place a thin, natural cloth over it (possible to a limited extent):
A thin, untreated cotton or linen sheet can be placed over it. (No blends of cotton and linen!)
– The thinner and more natural the material, the better the contact.
– Strong dyes, polyester or fabric softener residues interrupt conductivity.
Thick or synthetic sheets / fitted sheets:
These provide electrical insulation – the earthing effect is lost as a result.
Example: A dark microfibre fitted sheet → no contact.
